Abstract

This study aims to diagnose the current state of the blended learning modality in the Business Administration Engineering program at Mascota Campus, in order to identify areas for improvement in academic and administrative dimensions. A quantitative descriptive research design was implemented, based on institutional indicators (enrollment, dropout, failure rates), complemented by interviews, observation, and content analysis. The population consisted of 129 students across two locations. Results reveal a declining enrollment trend since the 2017–2018 academic cycle, fluctuating but increasing dropout rates in recent periods, and difficulties in accessing academic information due to institutional platform changes. Critical issues were also identified regarding course design, teaching evaluation, and factors influencing academic performance. It is concluded that blended learning requires structural and pedagogical adjustments to improve its effectiveness and student retention. This study provides empirical evidence for institutional decision-making in flexible higher education contexts.
